The Theatre of Western Springs is a community theater dedicated to providing outstanding theatrical experiences for audiences of all ages.. With a rich history spanning 95 years, the theater has a long-standing tradition of excellence in the performing arts, offering a wide range of productions and educational programs.
Founded in 1946 by Ella Heimbrodt, the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs is a well-rounded program for the youngest of theatre artists. Course selections include acting, voice, movement, musical theatre, technical theatre and more. Classes are taught by skilled theatre professionals who are as talented in the classroom as they are on stage. In addition to learning about the performing arts, students are taught collaborative and critical thinking skills vital to success both in the theatre and beyond.
